1. Acceptance of these terms

By using the Lucky Dog Log apps or website (the “Service”), operated by Lucky Dog Software, LLC (“we,” “us”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. The service

Lucky Dog Log is a record of what a dog does — meals, water, walks, elimination, care, medicine, vaccines and measurements — that estimates each dog’s usual rhythm, reminds you when that much time has passed, and lets you share a dog’s log with the people who help look after them.

3. Your account

You do not need an account to use the app. If you create one, you are responsible for activity under it and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your content

Everything you add — dogs, photos, entries and notes — remains yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to store the content you share, sync it to the people you share it with, and display it to them and to you. You are responsible for having the right to save the content you add, including any document you ask the reader to read.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the Service: no unlawful content, no attempts to break, probe, or overload it, no accessing other people’s data, and no reselling the Service.

6. A log, not a diagnosis

The Service records what you observe. It does not diagnose anything, and it is not veterinary advice. Typical ranges shown beside a weight, a temperature or a blood-glucose reading are general reference values displayed as a cue for you; they are not specific to your dog, and a value outside them is not a finding. Entries proposed by the receipt reader are its reading of a document and may be wrong; check them against the document before you keep them.

Nothing in the Service replaces your veterinarian. If you are worried about your dog, talk to your vet — and take the log with you.

7. Reminders are estimates

A learned reminder is an estimate of a dog’s usual interval from the entries you have logged; it is only as complete as the log, and it can be early, late, or absent. A reminder you set yourself fires on the schedule you gave it, subject to the device delivering it. Do not rely on the Service as the sole means of administering medication or managing a medical condition.

8. Sharing a dog

A dog stays on your device until you share it. When you invite somebody, that dog’s profile and log are stored with us and made available to every person you have invited who accepts; each of them can add and edit entries, and the log shows who logged what. You can remove a person at any time, and they can leave at any time. Invite only people you trust with the record, and share only dogs you are responsible for.

9. AI-assisted features

Some features use AI, and they run only when you deliberately ask them to — every one of them is marked with a ✨ before you tap it, and each spends one of a monthly allowance. Nothing in the Service calls an AI model in the background. Results are proposals, not entries: nothing reaches your log or your dog’s profile until you choose it and save it.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we’ll be reasonable about it.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lucky Dog Software, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (or $50 if you paid nothing).

13. Changes

We may update the Service and these terms. If we make material changes to the terms, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
